My somatic coaching style
In sessions, we focus on what you long for and notice where you feel stuck or cut off. This might be from yourself, from community, from your needs, purpose and ambition. I know how oblique the things that pull us away can be. The events that hit us hard, and the places inside us that dig their heels in and refuse to change.
We often begin with something that starts as a hunch, a feeling, a glimmer or discomfort, and together we make room for it to be heard. There’s often a lot of information in what happens for us when we want change, or when change happens to us.
In embodied coaching we work with all these layers: the ones that long for change and the ones that resist it. You don’t have to love it all. In the first instance, the offer is to slow down enough to notice.
You might feel clear on what you want, or it might change or feel abstract. I’m here to partner with you in finding a focus for our work, through exploration and practice that helps you move towards the changes you long for.
Things you might be thinking
Work through a therapy ending
You know something needs to change but you’re not sure where to start
You’re navigating change and struggling to feel yourself
You’ve done a lot of thinking and talking about it but it’s not enough to shift it
The ways you used to live, work or parent aren’t fitting anymore
You feel like you’ve outgrown parts of your life
You’re itchy for something different and can’t yet name it
You feel frustrated with where you are and want things to move
I offer time and space for people who find the end of a therapeutic relationship hard. I know that difficulty myself (an understatement 🙂). Together we work out what you need next, at your own pace and without rushing to an answer.
This isn’t a replacement for therapy, and it’s a different experience for everyone. I won’t pretend to have the answers, but I’ll be with you.
